Enjyoji Kei & Samejima Ranmaru

Kei and Ranmaru are the main characters of Kizuna. Kei is the illegitimate son of a yakuza boss and Ran is a former kendo star. Kei first saw Ran when they were in high school and fell in love with him at first sight. They shared their first kiss, but did not become a couple until three years later. A hit-and-run accident ended Ranmaru's kendo career just as he was poised to become the top kendo star in Japan. During his recovery, Kei asked him to move in with him and pledged his lifelong love and devotion to Ranmaru.

Kei is exuberant and bold in manner, confident in himself and his feelings for Ranmaru. Ran is shy, unsure about his own value and doesn't express his feelings for Kei as well, but he is no less in love or certain of his own love for Kei.

I adore this couple. Kei and Ranmaru's love and devotion to each other is simply incredible. The scene in volume two where Ranmaru is in the hospital and Kei tells him that Ran's still the man he fell in love with and wants to spend the rest of his life with is simply beautiful. They go through things that are hard on any couple and just come out of it all that much stronger and more in love and they're simply beautiful.
